August 4th 2020 Meeting Minutes
MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD OUTSIDE DARWEN TOWN HALL ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 4TH,, 2020
Present: Couns Salton, East, Connor, Browne, Smith, Rothwell, Hollings, Slater .
1.Welcome and introduction: In line with COVID 19 social distancing rules, one group of six was formed and one separate group of 3 (to include the clerk). No members of the public had contacted the clerk to say they wished to attend.
2.Apologies: Coun. Perkins, Entwistle, Davies, Taylor and Brookfield
3.Annual accounts and adoption of the annual governance review:
The annual accounts had been circulated to all members and any queries had been responded to before the meeting. The accounts were accepted and The Mayor was asked to sign the annual governance review which followed the internal audit. This will be displayed on the website along with the public excise period.
4. Remote meeting protocol
Due to the uncertainty of local lockdowns, the council has adopted a remote meeting protocol incase a remote meeting is needed instead of a physical one. The protocol allows for members of the public to attend and will only be used if necessary. A decision on the date and format of the next meeting will depend on local lockdown rules and information will be sent out by the end of August.
