Blackburn with Darwen Council has today commenced a 4-week public consultation of a draft Masterplan for land at Holden Fold, Darwen. The land is allocated in the current Local Plan for the Borough for housing development. The draft masterplan sets out a clear vision for the site and shows how new homes and associated infrastructure could be designed and delivered. The site provides a significant development opportunity for around 430 new homes. These would be delivered in phases alongside new on-site infrastructure and contributions to off-site infrastructure as well.

 

The Council would like to hear your view on the draft proposals and so it has prepared a range of consultation material. Any comments received will be reviewed and taken into account in finalising the Masterplan. Once completed the Masterplan will be a key consideration in any future planning applications on the site.
